- The Electronics Recycling and Household Hazardous Materials Drop-off Event needs volunteers Saturday, April 14. Volunteers may work the entire event, 8:15 a.m. - 2:15 p.m., or for part of the event, 8:15 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. Lifting of large TVs and computer monitors will be required. Volunteers age 18 and over are welcome.
- The Black Hawk Soil and Water Conservation District needs volunteers to assist with a water quality “snapshot” event to gather data from the four branches of Dry Run Creek on April 21st from 9:00 a.m. until noon. Volunteers age 21 and over are welcome.
- The Grout Museum District needs volunteers to help with various children's activities as Super Science Day Helpers. Helpers are welcome anytime between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 21st. Volunteers age 16 and over are welcome.
- Hartman Reserve Nature Center will be holding Earth Day on April 22 from 1 – 5 p.m. Volunteers will facilitate kayaking, canoeing, fishing, art activities, recycling activities, and a large service project. Volunteers age 16 and over are welcome.
