The mission is to eliminate Alzheimer's disease through the advancement of research; to provide and enhance care and support for all affected; and to reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health. Our vision is a world without Alzheimer's disease.
The Alzheimer's Association is the leading, global voluntary health organization in Alzheimer's care and support, and the largest private, nonprofit funder of Alzheimer's research.
When Alzheimer's disease touches your life, the Alzheimer's Association is here to help. We are the trusted resource for reliable information, education, referral and support to the millions of people affect by dementia, their families and caregivers, and healthcare professionals.
The Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s needs volunteers on September 22 from 8:00 until 11:00 a.m. to assist with day-of-event duties such as check-in, registration, parking directors, route directions, banking and tear-down at Hawkeye Community College. Volunteers age 16 and over are welcome.
