VCCV Weekly Volunteer Opportunities

• Ushers are needed for the production of “Dying City” at Strayer-Wood Theatre on the UNI campus. Performance dates include February 23-25 and March 1-3 at 7:30 p.m. and February 26 and March 4 at 2:00 p.m. Ushers will arrive one hour before curtain for instruction. Volunteers age 18 and over are welcome.

• The Salvation Army is looking for volunteers to assist in preparing and serving the noon time meal from 10:30 a.m. until at least 1:00 p.m. Volunteers age 16 and over are welcome.
  
  
• VA Voluntary Service needs van drivers to provide transportation to and from the Iowa City VA. Volunteers age 21 and over are needed once per week or as available from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  
  
• Waterloo Community Schools need school based mentors to meet with students one hour a week at school. Mentors help students achieve personal and academic growth by providing encouragement and one to one assistance. Volunteers will be matched with a student at a school convenient to the volunteer. Volunteers age 18 and over are welcome.
