Weekly Volunteer Opportunity Update

• Volunteers are needed to help with Culture Fest March 29 at the Waterloo Center for the Arts. People are needed to serve as guides, hand out brochures, serve food, and help with set up, clean up, etc. from 5 – 8 p.m. Volunteers age 16 and above are welcome.

• The Family and Children’s Council needs volunteers to assist with the Fool’s 5K race on March 31 from 9 a.m. until noon. Volunteers may be asked to assist with registration, food preparation, handing out water bottles, and help at the finish line. Volunteers age 18 and over are welcome.

• Allen Hospital needs volunteers to assist visitors in finding their way, providing wheelchair assistance if needed, and just be a kind presence during a difficult time. Volunteers age 16 and over are welcome.

• Alternatives Pregnancy Center needs Client Advocates. This person works closely with clients, educating them on pregnancy, labor and caring for babies. They may also provide pregnancy tests and pregnancy options information. Confidentiality is extremely important in this position. Volunteers age 25 and over are welcome.
