World’s Greatest Spring Break For Kids in Review

The World’s Greatest Spring Break was indeed the world’s greatest. The Volunteer Center of Cedar Valley and the Waterloo Public Library partnered for a Sock Hop on Wednesday, March 14. 153 children and adults listened to “sock” stories, participated in movement activities led by the renowned dancer and VCCV board member, Laura Folkerts, and ate delicious cookies. Judging by the smiles on the faces of all in attendance, a good time was had by all.

Rumor has it that plans are already underway to make next year’s Sock Hop bigger and better.
