Jason Pence is the Business Unit Manager for the 6R Tractor Operations at the John Deere Waterloo Works. In this position, Jason works closely with the John Deere Werke Mannheim factory located in Germany and is responsible for the daily operations and support of new product programs in Waterloo. Jason began his career with John Deere in February 2007 as a Project Manager within the Manufacturing Administration Division in Waterloo. His most recent assignment was Business Unit Manager for the 9R Tractor Operations in Waterloo. Prior to joining John Deere, Jason was employed with the Ford Motor Company in Louisville, Kentucky for 12.5 years in various managerial and manufacturing positions. Jason received a BS degree in Industrial Technology from Purdue University and has an MBA degree from St. Ambrose University.
Jason currently resides in Cedar Falls with his wife (Amy) of 18 years and two children (Jacob-16 and Haley-14). In his free time he loves spending time with his family, sports activities with his children and playing golf when possible.
Jason and Amy have been actively involved with charities, church and the community for many years in both Indiana and now Iowa. This is the first opportunity for Jason to serve as a board member within the community and he is looking forward to helping strengthen the commitment to community service through the VCCV for years to come.
