National Volunteer Week, April 12 – 18, Upcoming Events

National Volunteer Week, April 12-18, 2015, is about inspiring, recognizing and encouraging people to seek out imaginative ways to engage in their communities. It’s about demonstrating to the nation that by working together, we have the fortitude to meet our challenges and accomplish our goals.

National Volunteer Week is about taking action and encouraging individuals and their respective communities to be at the center of social change – discovering and actively demonstrating their collective power to make a difference.


Upcoming National Volunteer Week Celebrations:

  • The Volunteer Center of Cedar Valley will be celebrating the agencies 20th Anniversary on April 14 from 4:00 – 5:30 p.m. at the Kimball Ridge Center. 
  • Global Youth Service Day is April 15, 2015. Stay tuned for more information.
  • The following week the VCCV will host the Mayors' Volunteer Awards are Tuesday, April 21 from 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. at the Five Sullivan Brothers Convention Center. The cost is $15 per person. 
  • The Mayors' Top Teen and Mother Moon Service Scholarship Awards Reception is Tuesday, April 21 from 6:00-7:30 p.m. at the Five Sullivan Brothers Convention Center. There is no charge to attend and no RSVP necessary.
