Alan Stalnaker has worked for Veridian Credit Union for over five years and is currently a Branch Supervisor in Cedar Falls. Alan moved to Cedar Falls two years ago in part because he and his wife loved the strong sense of community in the area. Part of that community feeling comes from a strong focus in volunteerism so Alan decided to get involved with the Volunteer Center as a way to continue to encourage more volunteerism in the Cedar Valley.
Among his hobbies are golfing, camping, cooking, remodeling his house, traveling, and anything else involving the outdoors. Alan loves sports and especially enjoys rooting for the Panthers and Hawkeyes. When he finds enough free time he also is an avid baseball fan and enjoys going to St Louis every year to watch the Cardinals play. He is married to Theresa Stalnaker who works at John Deere and they have two young daughters.
He believes that volunteerism is good for the overall well-being of the community and encourages everyone to check the VCCV’s website often for volunteer opportunities.
