Updated Weekly Volunteer Opportunities - April 14

• Volunteers are needed to assist with Earth Day activities throughout the Grout Museum District on April 22nd from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Volunteers age 18 and over are welcome.

• The Cedar Bend Humane Society is holding a shelter clean up on Friday, April 22, 2011 from 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Groups can assist the shelter in getting ready for spring by helping with yard work, planting flowers, and general shelter maintenance. Volunteers age 14 and over or younger with an adult.

• Iowa's Bravest is hosting a Cookie Project on April 27 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the UAW 838 Hall where they will get 25,000+ boxes of cookies ready to send to our troops serving in Iraq and Afghanistan. Volunteers age 14 and over are welcome or younger with an adult.

• The Cedar Valley Volunteer Emergency Club needs volunteers to help provide traffic control for the walkers participating in March of Dimes' March for Babies on Saturday, April 24 from 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Volunteers age 18 and over are welcome.
